The
Finance Industry
The
finance industry as a whole provides a huge array of
goods and services varying from personal loans to the
running of countries economies. The finance industry
has a large effect on everyday life. Without the finance
industry businesses and governments would not be able
to function.
On an individual level the finance industry provides
services such as loans, pensions and mortgages. Credit
cards and banking come under this category of personal
finance. These services are generally provided by banks
and other large institutions.
At a business level the services offered by the finance
industry become a lot more complex. Stockbrokers and
share dealers make million dollar deals every day. The
market for international finance is massive and huge
profits and losses can be made each day.
At a government level decisions made by workers in the
finance industry affect all of us. Decisions affecting
the rate of interest and the exchange rate can have
a large impact on everyday life.
With the finance industry so enmeshed in everyday life
there is a constant need for skilled professionals ranging
from mortgage and pension advisors to stock brokers
and share dealers. As the financial markets become ever
more complex and more and more products are offered
this is only likely to increase.
